I Suoni delle Dolomiti

Every summer, music and nature meet on the natural stages of the Dolomites. Together with musicians, walk up the trails to hollows and meadows, glades and peaks. Up there, where music dialogues with the landscape, plays with the echo, chases a gust of wind.

Sergey Malov, the musician born in Saint Petersburg, is a truly versatile virtuoso. A renowned player of the violin, viola, baroque violin and violoncello da spalla, his repertoire ranges from early Baroque music to Johann Sebastian Bach, and from classical and romantic violin concertos to contemporary music. He has won major competitions on both the violin (the Paganini Competition in Genoa, the Mozart Competition in Salzburg, the Heifetz Competition in Vilnius and the Michael Hill Competition in Auckland) and the viola (the ARD Competition in Munich and the Tokyo Viola Competition).

Suoni delle Dolomiti
2023, the artist is taking a break from the world’s most prestigious concert halls to climb high altitudes and play on the green meadows beneath the majestic Brenta Dolomites. It will be an unusual stage for Sergey Malov, who is accustomed to playing with major orchestras: the London Philharmonic, the BBC Symphony, the Bavarian Radio Symphony, the Helsinki Philharmonic, the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, the Moscow Philharmonic and the Tokyo Philharmonic. With his love of chamber music, Sergey Malov is regularly invited to the Verbier, Gstaad, and Kuhmo festivals, where he performs on his four instruments.
