The farm is a jewel of Italian oenology, with a thousand-year history behind it. To get the most out of it, you can take part in wine tastings or guided tours by appointment
More than a thousand years ago the estate was a monastery and for over three centuries it has been the residence of the Gonzaga Warrior Marquises, winemakers in San Leonardo since the 18th century. The first reorganisation of the estate took place between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s thanks to the father of the Marquis Carlo, who was passionate about oenology. But Carlo is the first true oenologist in the family, so much so that for fiftyyears he has devoted almost all of his attention and time to the estate. Today San Leonardo is a garden of vineyards and roses protected by Trentino mountains that dampen the Nordic winds, while the valley floor welcomes and gives the warmth of Lake Garda. The estate is an ancient world where cellar practices, still totally artisanal, give wines that are authentic jewels of Italian oenology and that stand out for their freshness, harmony and innate elegance.
