Concert at Col Bel (Buffaure-Pozza), one of Fassa's most beautiful panoramic viewpoints to be reached on foot




I Suoni delle Dolomiti
is a unique event. A
music festival at high altitude
that brings together musicians from all over the world in the most beautiful mountains of the Alps. The idea behind this initiative is simple: to combine the great passions for music, art and the mountains in a cycle of concerts under the banner of freedom and nature.

The most magnificent music intertwined with the world of cinema in Luciano Biondini and Rosario Giuliani’s Cinema Italiano project contends with the natural grandeur of the Val di Fassa’s Col Bel, fading into the horizon. Rosario Giuliani on saxophone and Luciano Biondini on accordion pay tribute to Morricone and show their love for the great Italian cinema that has made the country beloved across the world. The event puts a contemporary twist on the iconic soundtrack themes that have not only entered the collective imagination, but have also earned their place in music history. Musical themes are infused with new vigour and vitality. During the event, the duo will perform a selection of Morricone's well-known themes, reinterpreting them to enrich the melodies, interspersed with improvisations. Giuliani and Biondini’s improvisation skills have earned them such fame and respect that they have long been considered major figures in the international jazz scene.


 



How to get to Col Bel
:




from Alba di Canazei by the Ciampac cabin lift and Roseal-Giumela chairlift, then on foot along the ridge trail to Col Bel (1 hour, difference in altitude 130 m, difficulty E easy)


from Pozza by the Buffaure cabin lift and Col de Valvacin chairlift, on foot along path no. 613 to Sela Brunéch and then along the ridge trail to Col Bel (2 hours, difference in altitude 150 m, difficulty E - easy)


from Pozza with the Buffaure cabin lift, on foot along trail no. 643 to Malga Jumela, then along trail no. 644 to the junction for Sela de Ciamol and Col Bel (3 hours, difference in altitude approx. 450 m, difficulty E - demanding)




Participation is free of charge. On the day of the concert, it is possible to go on a paid hike accompanied by the local mountain guides: € 15 adults; free for children up to 8 years. 20% reduction for Trentino Guest Card and Val di Fassa Guest Card holders. Mandatory reservation within 12.00 p.m. of the previous day in the tourist offices of the valley.


We suggest to reach the venue at least one hour before the scheduled time. Adequate high-altitude clothing recommended.


In case of bad weather, the concert will take place at 5.30 p.m. at Marmolada Cinema Theatre in Canazei. Free tickets distributed at the theatre box office from 3.30 p.m. until sold out.
